What exactly is Adobe InDesign? Have you tried using it? How does it differ from Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator? Please share your opinions, observations and experiences in this thread regarding this application.

We've been working with Adobe Indesign mostly for print designs like magazines, brochures, leaflets, flyers, and even with business cards.

Only few designers can actually use InDesign proficiently since its features are somehow different, not entirely but noticeably different with Photoshop.

For more info about Indesign, check Adobe Indesign.

Why would this be so? Does it mean that InDesign is far more difficult to learn or to use, or does it mean that it suffers from a lot of limitations? Which, then, has more powerful features among the two applications?

I think people have other ways to get things done, which would otherwise be done with the help of adobe indesign.

Adobe InDesign is a newer version of Adobe PageMaker, a desktop publishing program. What does that mean?? Well, it means that both are tools to be used for design and layout purposes. InDesign is the perfect choice for making any document that needs some creative layout, from posters to newspapers. It offers all kinds of features to modify your text and images, which can work together in interesting ways to create a unique and professional design.
